Active-Duty Airman 'Routinely' Traveled Back To Virginia To Meet With Minors For Sex, Feds Say

More than two dozen underage girls were targeted by an active-duty servicemember on social media who preyed upon and sought to bring them to his hometown in Virginia, federal officials say.

Brandon Tyler Lindsey, 27, now of Goldsboro, North Carolina, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for targeting minors in the Hampton Roads are and caused at least 29 victims to produce sexually explicit videos and photos. 

According to court documents, Lindsey, an active-duty servicemember attached to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base would "routinely travel to his hometown of Chesapeake and met minor (girls) to engage in sexual acts with them." 

His youngest victim was 12 years old.

Lindsey used several social media accounts to target his victims, using Instagram to direct multiple minors with the same messages and "liked" their photos. 

Once their trust was gained, Lindsey would then request child pornography from the minors and attempt to meet in person for sexual acts. 

Prosecutors say that Lindsey sometimes met with the same minors on multiple occasions over a period of years ad caused his victims to produce the child porn "for his sexual gratification."
